The film was announced on August 18 2022 as the adaptation movie adipurush based on the Hindu Epic Ramayana. Due to covid-19 Panda make shooting got delayed and started in January 2021. Most of the scenes in the movie have been shooted in Mumbai itself. Altho as per the makers statement it was very difficult to shoot the fire scenes and even their sets also caught by fire.
