Deepak Punia History And early life
Deepak Punia’s father was running a small dairy in Haryana District to feed their family. Before his birth there were his two sisters and after that on 19 April 1999 in Jhajjar Haryana Deepak Punia born. Since early childhood Deepak was extremely attracted towards wrestling and started his training at the age of 5. As he becomes 7 he learnt so many aspects of wrestling and became well known wrestler near his home. At that time no one was aware including his family and he himself that one day this little boy will become an international level wrestler and will make India proud and shine in the world. Deepak Puniya started his early education in the primary school of his village in Jhajjar Haryana. During the schooling Deepak used to participate in various wrestling competitions whether it is in school or anywhere else in the society. He was very much attached with wrestling from his early childhood and was aing to become an international wrestler and wanted to win medal for India to make India proud.
For the full feeling of his dream to become a wrestler he started searching about the coaches and finally he selected one of the experience coach Guru Satpal ji of Chhatrasal Stadium. From then onwards Guru Satpal ji initiated his training as a wrestler. During his training Deepak Punia participated in world cadet Championship image where he failed to win. But he didn’t forgive and took his training and practice to the next level and finally the result is in front of the entire world.

During his training in Chhatrasal stadium he participated in World Cadet Championship in 2015 where he failed to win but he didn’t lose his hope and in the same year he participated in Junior World Championship and won the medal. Deepak participated in Junior World Championship in wrestling three times and each time he won the medal. In this way he started his career in early years.
He again participated in Asian junior Championship 2018 in wrestling and showed his performance in front of the entire world and won the gold medal for India. In the same year he participated in World Junior Championship and won the silver medal for India.
In 2019 he participated in Asian Championship and short his beautiful performance and one bronze medal for India. The Sultan of Kazakhstan got influenced by watching his performance and invited him to participate in World Championship 2019 but unfortunately he could not be able to participate there because of the injury in his leg.
One of the Irani wrestler Hassan Yaad Gani won the gold medal in world championship where as Deepak grabbed silver medal. Although he earned 82 points which was half to the winner

Deepak Puniya is representing India in Tokyo Olympic 2020. Now Deepak Puniya entered in the semi final by defeating Tigrerose of Columbia. He also defeated a Chinese wrestler in 85 kilograms category and entered in the quarterfinals.
Now unfortunately Deepak Puniya is out from the match because in semi finals he got defeated by a US wrestler David tailor.
