Great news for India and sports lovers that first Indian athletes quota qualified for Olympics 2024 and entered the name of India in the list of 2024 Olympics. It’s a great pride for all of us that finally India entered in 2024 Olympics.

Indian athletes qualified for olympics
Bhowneesh Mendiratta, the Trap shooter, competed in Shotgun World Championship 2022 which held in Osijek. He finished up men’s trap event fourth round. Then finally Bhowneesh won the first Indian quota for Paris Olympics as the top in each event four rounds individually gets the quota.
With all these these efforts Bhowneesh secured and confirmed India’s quota in 2024 Paris summer Olympics. However it does not mean that he himself surely will participate in 2024 Olympics. This quota is on the behalf of team India and National level trials of NRAI (National Rifle Association of India). Now it is solely the decision of Indian Federation of Shooting to whom to give the ticket and opportunity to represent India at 2024 summer Olympics.
Although various factors involved in and influence the decision of the committee to opt the perfect candidate to give the ticket.
who is Bhowneesh Mendiratta
Bhowneesh is a 23 years old young boy, belongs to Faridabad. Previously he was in junior team and recently joined the seniors. He won silver medal in Junior Asian Championship. As he recently joined senior committee and participated in ISSF world cup, which held this year’s starting in Changwon, Kora and secured the silver medal.

As per Olympics official statement- “Bhowneesh Pitted against Derrick Scott Mein of the USA, Rashid Hamad of Qatar and Aaron Heading of England, all Olympians, in his ranking match, the Indian shooter shot an impressive score of 24/25 to finish top and earned him a berth in the medal match, which confirmed the quota place for India”.
