Right now Swetangana is working for Women Development Center, Assam as a state consultant for Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management. She joined there in April 2023. Prior to this she worked for Centre for Environment Education, Assam for 2 years from March 2021 to April 2023.
As a women Swetangana wants to work for women’ empowerment and their development socially, physically, mentally and by wealth too. She knows that it can be possible by giving them good and healthy environment where they can stay protected hygienically which can be possible by giving them proper awareness and education for this. Swetangana Bhuyan Early Life and Education
Swetangana was born is Jharkhand in 1987. She was a good student during her academics. She completed Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Goverment in 2007-2010. Just after her completing her graduation she joined CLRA (Centre for Legislative Research and Advocacy in May, 2011. From there her career started towards the care for women and social awareness.
Swetangana Bhuyan Career
As we said that Swetangana started her career in May 2011 and she worked for thee months in CLRA. After that She worked for 2 months in Observer research Foundation, Delhi, joined there in May 2012 till June 2012 as a Project Intern. She wrote an article there in 2500 words on India-Pakistan relationships.
After leaving the previous work Swetangana joined United Nations Information Center in September 2013. She worked there for four months as an Intern Assistant and coordinated campaigns for peace to Non-Violence campaigns.
In June 2016 she joined Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC) in Assam. She worked for 3 months there and coordinated with District Administration and Gram Panchayat Committee for betterment of the blocks.
In August 2017 She joined Tata Trust as a Zilla Swachh Bharat Prerak, Assam, where she worked for Swachh Bharat Mission Programme for 11 months till June 2018.
Achievements
She became the part of Government of Assam for 1 year and 5 months. She worked for the hygiene maintenance in anganbadi, health departments and schools. Also she included tea gardening community and Menstrual Hygiene Management from August 2018 to December 2019 as a Wash Consultant.
In January 2020 she became the part Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh where she spread the health and hygiene awareness by several campaigns in Dibrigarh and Sivasagar district as a Divisional Wash & MHM Consultant till December 2020.
In March 2021 Swetangana joined Centre for Environment Education as a Regional WASH & MHM Consultant at CEE UNICEF Assam and headed various government programmes and scheme. She worked there for 2 years.
Right now Swetangana is associated with Women Development Centre as a State consultant for Menstrual health and hygiene management since April 2023.
